Espresso Tango Radio
Grammy Award-Winning bandoneon player, Hector Del Curto is also a producer, sound engineer, musical director and father of a son who was a professional musician since the age of two.
Batt Johnson is a multi award-winning veteran radio broadcaster, actor, college professor, author, Argentine tango dancer and choreographer. These artists share a love of music, tango dance and many things eclectic and stimulating.
Batt and Hector met over two decades ago in the world of tango. One day, Hector had an idea to create a highly produced radio show about the many lives and levels of tango with an accompanying story line about coffee. Since the history of tango has many stories and legends of the poets, authors, dancers, musicians and other artists frequenting the coffee houses, elaborate and otherwise, coffee was a natural companion.
While listening to these Espresso Tango Radio shows, the relationship and brotherhood these two talented individuals possess is unambiguous and unclouded by ego. Their love of music is unmistakable and their deep desire to spread information about tango is incontestable.
Since a very keen ear has been applied to the creation of these shows and close, meticulous attention has been paid to every detail, please listen carefully and enjoy!
